This 63-year old woman already had a breast augmentation procedure performed in the past, but wanted to correct some of the problems she had developed and in the process achieve a more natural breast contour. After her original procedure, this woman had developed capsular contracture, an unusually thick layer of scar tissue that was squeezing her implants. As the scar tissue thickened it altered the shape of her breasts so that they no longer looked or felt the way she wanted them to, so she decided to look into revisionary Los Angeles breast enhancement.
The patient scheduled a personal consultation with one of Marina Plastic Surgery's board-certified plastic surgeons to discuss how she could correct her breasts' shape. Her surgeon reassured her, telling her that the scar tissue could be surgically removed and he could replace her ruptured gel implants with natural-feeling cohesive gel ones. The cohesive gel implants would feel and look more natural, and would compensate nicely for the volume she would lose by removing her scar tissue. They settled on a surgical approach and scheduled a date for her revision surgery.
Her surgeon removed her scar tissue and old implants through an incision within the fold below each breast. He then refined the space that would hold the new implant and carefully inserted her new 305cc cohesive silicone-gel implants.
After her Los Angeles breast augmentation, this patient's breasts appear fully restored. Her new breasts look very natural, smooth, and fitting for her slim frame, and she is very happy to have beautiful breasts again.
