This 18-year-old woman felt that her large breasts were interfering with her enjoyment in certain activities such as running, and felt that they drew unwanted attention to her. After some consideration, she decided to consult a Los Angeles plastic surgeon about breast reduction.

When she spoke with her surgeon at Marina Plastic Surgery Associates, she explained that she wanted her breasts to be much smaller so she could work out more easily and draw less attention to herself. To address her concerns, her surgeon recommended that she have a breast reduction with a Laser Bra breast lift using a short incision. For this procedure, her surgeon would make an incision around the nipple and follow the contour of the breast with a vertical incision. Her surgeon would then remove excess breast tissue, remove some excess skin and then treat the skin with a CO2 laser and suture it to the chest wall under the breast, a process called the Laser Bra breast lift. Essentially, her surgeon will create an internal "bra" with the excess skin which will support her breasts and keep them in their youthful position.

After undergoing her California breast reduction and Laser Bra breast lift, this patient was thrilled with the new size of her breasts. They were a much more manageably sized which would allow her to enjoy her athletic lifestyle more fully.
