This 59-year-old woman didn't like the wrinkles on the lower half of her face. As can be seen in her "before" photos, she had deep-set wrinkles and folds around her mouth that made her look older and worn. Instead of having surgery to improve the lower half of her face, she wanted to find a nonsurgical option for rejuvenation. There are many options for treating facial wrinkles, depending on the severity, location and type of wrinkle being treated. For this patient, her surgeon recommended that she try Radiesse®, a dermal filler that works by first adding volume to the skin, and then kick-starting collagen regeneration in the months following injection. Her surgeon took her "before" photos, and then injected 1 syringe of Radiesse into the skin around her mouth.
Three months after the injection, her "after" photos were taken to show her dramatic improvement. Her deep, nasolabial folds (or the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth) have been drastically diminished in addition to the diminished lines on her chin. When asked what she thought of the results after her Los Angeles Radiesse treatment, she said she was thrilled with how much more youthful her face appeared.
